The media finally got a chance to ask the president about his unfathomably offensive remarks about the murdered filmmaker, and in typical Trump fashion, he showed not a lick of regret. Instead, he chose to go even further.
A reporter asked him about his original post, noting that “Many Republicans have denounced your statement on Truth Social after the murder of Rob Reiner. Do you stand by that post?”
“Well, I wasn’t a fan of his at all,” replied Trump.
“He was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned. said he liked, he knew it was false. In fact, it’s the exact opposite, that I was a friend of Russia controlled by Russia. You know, it was the Russia hooks. He was one of the people behind it. I think he hurt himself in career-wise. He became like a deranged person, Trump derangement syndrome. So I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all in any way shape or form. I thought he was very bad for our country.”
Not a single expression of sympathy or condolences for a man who, we must remind you, was literally stabbed to death alongside his wife less than 24 hours ago.
Three American kids have just lost their parents in the most nightmarish way possible — at the hands of their sibling — and this POS can’t summon up even a shred of emotion for their suffering.
