BREAKING: Federal Judge BLASTS Trump’s ICE as LAWLESS after 96 court order violations in one month — “ICE is not a law unto itself.”

A federal judge just dropped a legal bombshell on Donald Trump’s out-of-control immigration machine — and the details are absolutely damning.

In a scathing order out of Minnesota, Chief U.S. District Judge Patrick J. Schiltz made clear that Trump’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement isn’t just aggressive — it’s openly defying the rule of law. While the judge canceled a contempt hearing for ICE’s acting director, he made sure the record showed exactly why ICE is skating on dangerously thin ice.

“This list should give pause to anyone—no matter his or her political beliefs—who cares about the rule of law,” Schiltz wrote, attaching an appendix documenting 96 court orders ICE violated in just 74 cases since January 1, 2026.

Just try and let that sink in.

“ICE has likely violated more court orders in January 2026 than some federal agencies have violated in their entire existence,” the judge continued. And then came the line echoing across the legal world: “ICE is not a law unto itself.”

The case involved Juan T.R., a detainee whom ICE was ordered to either give a bond hearing or release. ICE did neither. The judge had to step in, grant relief, and threaten to haul ICE Director Todd Lyons into court personally — only backing off once ICE finally complied.

But Judge Schiltz wasn’t done.

“The extent of ICE’s noncompliance is almost certainly substantially understated,” he warned, noting the list was “hurriedly compiled by extraordinarily busy judges” and likely missed additional violations.

In other words, this is probably just the tip of the iceberg.

Schiltz warned that continued defiance could lead to future show-cause orders requiring personal appearances by top ICE officials, an extraordinary rebuke rarely seen in federal court.

All of this comes as Trump’s immigration regime faces mounting scrutiny following deadly ICE operations and widespread accusations of racial profiling, illegal detentions, and constitutional violations.

This isn’t “border security.” It’s government by brute force — and a federal judge just put it in writing.

Under Trump, ICE isn’t enforcing the law. It’s breaking it. And now the courts are finally saying so — loudly.
