BREAKING: The Senate just voted on a resolution to prevent Trump from re-starting the Iran War. FINALLY. After 9 attempts, it PASSED.
The vote was 50-48, with four Republicans, Rand Paul of Kentucky, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins of Maine and Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, voting with all the Democrats and Independents. Democrat John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, opposed the resolution, and two Republicans did not vote, Dave McCormick of Pennsylvania and Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, who is hospitalized.

NBC NEWS: The OTHER chamber of Congress, The House of Representatives ALSO voted 215-208 this month to pass the same measure to end Trump’s war with Iran.
This is now a reprimand of the president by BOTH the Senate and the House..
The resolution “directs the President to remove U.S. Armed Forces from hostilities against Iran unless explicitly authorized by a declaration of war or a congressional authorization for use of military force against Iran.”
The resolution is largely symbolic. This will not go to Trump for his signature; instead, it expresses the sentiments of both chambers of Congress.

CNN reports that a White House official dismissed the Senate vote, saying the resolution “has no significance” and blaming the measure’s adoption on “Republican absences.”
“Concurrent resolutions do not go to the president and have no force of law,” the official said.

BUT NO. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THIS RESOLUTION FAILED TO DO ANYTHING.
This resolution makes VERY clear that the Republican Party, in BOTH chambers of Congress, the House and the Senate, has LOST the power that came with having a majority.
We no longer have to wait for the Midterms in November, or for the new Congress members to be seated in January. The balance has already started to shift in our favor.
The Republicans still outnumber the Democrats and Independents, but Trump has managed to turn some Republicans AGAINST him. More importantly, Trump has managed to turn Republican VOTERS in some districts against him.
Republicans were fiercely loyal to Trump when his MAGA base guaranteed that they would continue to be elected. That is no longer a given.

In fact, some of the BIGGEST right wing influencers have not only turned against Trump, they are turning against the Republican Party. TUCKER CARLSON just announced that he will no longer vote Republican. He made clear that he will not vote Democrat either. But if he and all his followers WITHHOLD their votes in the Midterms, that will have a devastating effect.
Oh. And Marjorie Taylor Greene just said SHE is not voting Republican this time around, either.
FOX News is doubling down and doubling down again on Trump’s alternate reality and his regime’s talking points. But although FOX remains at the top of the cable news channels, its numbers are steadily falling. TV Insider notes that in the Adults 25-54 demographic, “the network has frequently seen notable double-digit drops compared to the same periods in previous years.”
AND OVERALL, there has been a 28% drop in the viewership of ALL cable news channels. People are getting their news from other sources. FOX is reaching less people all the time. And if its former viewers are now online watching podcasts by Tucker Carlson, and MTG, and Megyn Kelly, they are getting a FAR different message.

So this is BIG, friends. We may not have turned this ship around, YET. But we have stopped it’s forward motion. It is has been stopped COLD. It is stalled in the water.
Now WE have the opportunity to make our voices HEARD. Trump is not listening, but other Republican politicians ARE. Disillusioned MAGA ARE. People who have ignored politics ALSO are ready to listen. You can’t tune the world out when prices are rising all around you.
Time for us to TURN OUR VOLUME UP!
